The maintenance of a cast floor

Have you recently installed a new cast floor?

Firstly, congratulations! It is now possible to enjoy a beautiful, strong, wear-resistant, custom-made, maintenance-free floor for years to come!

Cast floors can be maintained very easily, but that does not mean that they are not subject to some maintenance.

Taking care of your floor will extend the life of your floor, so be careful to take care of it as much as you can.

These are our tips:

- Use a soft brush when vacuuming.

-Mopping / mop with water and a chlorine-free cleaning agent or a special cleaning agent specifically made for cast floors (available from Gietvloerreiniger.nl or through us).

  • The best thing to do after cleaning the floor is to dry it with a microfiber cloth.
  • Oil or wine (alcoholic drinks) should be removed / cleaned as soon as possible.
  • At the front door, use a mat to prevent the floor from getting dirty or wet.
  • It is best to keep as sand-free as possible in order to prevent scratches from causing the layer
  • to become dull very quickly.
  • It is recommended that you move your furniture as little as possible or with extreme care.
  • We advise you to have as little rubber-containing materials as possible placed on the cast
  • floors because they can cause stains because of the plasticisers that are in the material.
  • Tape should NEVER be placed on the cast floor.
  • Always use felt pads beneath furniture and chairs.
  • On the website of Scratch No More you will find several applications that will help you protect

your floor against scratches:

“Scratch no More develops and produces high-quality floor protection products that prevent floors from

being damaged by scratching caused by chair and table legs, and other furniture. ‘Scratch no More’ has developed a range of floor protection systems for almost all types of furniture.
